Today was a simple day. After yesterdays arrival I just rested this morning. So refreshed and after a light breakfast I explored the nature along Lake Constance. With subsequent impressions in pictures.
One day ahead of schedule. In the afternoon I reached Bregenz and looked at the city and surroundings. The monastery Mehrerau briefly visited and eaten on the spot I went on to the campsite.
The beauty of pilgrimage is that people are curious. So I made friends quickly with other campers and the operators of the place.
During a nice evening together you can exchange pilgrim stories and camping stories. A good day.
I have been on the road again since the afternoon of June 13, 2018. The second part of the way to the Dakhla Oasis in Egypt has begun. A path that has led me on foot from Fisterra partly through Europa (Spain, France and Germany) since 6 March 2018.
My first stop was at Meckenbeuren. Here there were first lessons for Catholic elementary school students. Theme: Pilgrims and the tradition.
Afterwards there was the possibility to visit Friedrichshafen and to capture some impressions photographically.
Since June 8, 2010, I regularly go on pilgrimage. Since 28 June 2013 for the fundamental right to free access to clean water. Some references and excerpts to the past pilgrimages are linked on the pages here, with pictures. Beginning on March 6, 2018, I set off from Fisterra in Galicia to arrive in Egypt in late autumn 2018. There, especially in the Dakhla oasis – to inspect a water well for the revision and installation of a water filter system and to hand over money from crowdfunding. —- From 13.06.2018 the way will be continued, paused in Germany since 31.05.2018, for organizational reasons.
